MBH Awards Dinner - and the winners were……
A big thanks to everyone who came last night and made the annual MBH awards dinner such a success! Over 55 Harriers, friends and family made it to the Union Hotel for what was our 5th year of awards.
The awards and presentations followed a superb 3 course meal, with a few surprises thrown in.
First up was a 40th Birthday surprise for Ian Raggett, who had no idea that his other half, Donna, had been secretly liaising, texting and meeting with Ian all week to collect the secret cake for the evening - women, they’re sooo devious!
After a brief (or not so brief) run down of the club’s achievements for the year, including Scott Markham’s amazing double Ironman, Nick Harvey’s end to end on a fixed wheel in 5 days, Sam Lawley and Phil Sanger’s JOGLE on a tandem and, of course, Tim Drew’s win at the Marazion Middle Distance, Kyle Keary’s Australian Triathlon, where he represented GB, our Britanny cycling trip, London Marathon, Birmingham Half and all the other great and exciting things we do as a club.
The presentation and award winners were voted for by all members who returned their voting papers
The winners were:
Nancy Hill - Female Road Runner of the Year
Sam Hill - Male Road Runner of the Year
Tammy Rosewall - Most Improved Female Runner of the Year

There were also special presentations to Ronnie James, Mark Omori, Ian and Sue Matthews, Geoff Letchford and Chris Trewhella
Ian Matthews, Club Chairman, added, at the end of the presentation, that it was a huge pleasure to be associated with such a great club with so many great friends. Mounts Bay Harriers still prides itself of being non-elitist and a club for all and everyone, of whatever standard, we make everyone welcome and assist all in achieving whatever goals or aspirations people may have.
Well done to all those who won prizes.
Nancy, your secret is out!!
