An exciting new sporting event is coming to Cornwall – two new triathlons that are unique in the south west.
Hosted by Gyllyngvase Surf Life Saving and Triathlon club, there will be two events on August 19. A 4×1 Relay (17+) and a 12-16 Junior event.
The 4×1 relay entails all team members completing a Super Sprint triathlon based at Gyllyngvase Beach, Falmouth.
They each swim, bike and run, and then tag the next team member with the winners being the first team to have all four members completing the race.
On the back of the relay triathlon, there will be a Junior Triathlon (12-16). This is a great opportunity for junior triathletes to try real racing on the road.
For both events the roads will be closed to allow safe racing and the routes will be based at Gyllyngvase Beach, the Pendennis Castle Road and the Falmouth seafront.
Times: 4×1 Relay Triathlon 7am; Junior Triathlon 8.30am at Gyllyngvase Beach, Falmouth. For further information and to register, please contact Allan Reid email@example.com or visit www.gyllysurf.org.uk
