Another weekend of racing for the Harriers

Mounts Bay Harriers were out racing over the bank holiday weekend.
Two Harriers traveled to Saltash to take on the challenging half marathon on a damp & windy day. Damian Cook finished in a time of 1.58.53 and Sue Taylor, using this half as a training run for a longer event finished in 2.08.32.

Meanwhile Sarah King ran the Milton Keynes marathon. This marathon is not as flat as you would think & Sarah was delighted to knock 48 minutes off her previous marathon time & finish in 4.45.13. Her husband Gary King ran the half marathon in 2.15 which was a new personal best for Gary. (Photo to follow)

The Triathlon season has started again & a number of Harriers took part in the Bodmin Sprint Triathlon- 400 metre pool swim, 23k bike ride & a 5k run. Ruth Glover commented that it was a good triathlon although a very wet day & she was pleased to be back racing triathlon. Ruth was using this sprint triathlon as training for a long distance event later this year. Janet Haynes was second in her age group. Results are on the intotri website.
