Can you please apologise to your members on behalf of Armada Athletic Forum Network and myself that as well as losing some of the front end runners all the runners were sent the wrong way at Mount Wise. Unfortunately the marshal at the end of James Street at Mutton Cove was in the wrong position and directed runners towards the swimming pools. The turning off James Street and into Richmond Walk is some 40 – 50 metres short of the waterfront and would have taken the runners on a tarmac path above the swimming pools.
Whilst variety is the spice of life there is no way I would plan a road race to incorporate a spiral staircase and even more so be able to get the course accurately measured. The first I was aware of it was when over half the field had passed under Stonehouse Bridge at the end of Richmond Walk.
I would also be grateful if you could post something on your club websites.
