If you haven’t done this event before then you should!  It’s a fast, flat(ish) half marathon where you’re bound to get a good time.  I’ve knocked two minutes off of last year’s time today, so I’m quite happy with that.  The course runs along the road parallel with the Camel Trail, it only has a couple of slight hills in it, and then at the half-way mark you turn onto the Camel Trail back to Bideford which is virtually flat.

Weather was ideal - brilliant sunshine with a slight breeze.  Only two of us from MBH turned up (and one of them was second claim!)  Instead of t-shirts they were giving away bath towels in a nice dark blue which match nicely with those given away at Blaythorne previously.

I am writing to you, to ask if  you or your  club would like to enter and join us in a 5k Fun Run, in Tintagel on the 31st May 2008, in aid of raising monies for Breast Cancer UK, and Macmillion Support.

We have got a couple of Sport outlets here in the South West to sponsor us so far, i.e. The Cornwall Running Store at Wadebridge, and Mal’s Indepentant Trading Company.

We are holding a lot of all day events such as Table tops, Coffee mornings, along with a large Fun Run with nearly 50 so far entered our Target  is 500 plus, from running clubs here in the South West.

We are raising funds for a team of ladies to enter the Race For Life at the Eden Project on the 15th June 2008. They are called TEAM ALLY.

All of the ladies who are going, have had health issues , they have over the past year been excerising back to health, as a target they all agreed to enter The Race for Life 2008.

We are also trying to help Tintagel School to raise some funds as well, so we are asking club like yours if they will take part, we have already had a couple of teams say yes, and we are hoping running clubs both male and female teams would like to come along to take part.

Our Fun Run, is the locals here raising monies for them, Our Fun Run will be on the 31st May, So the amount of runners could rise even more. There is going to be a large coverage by the papers and radio Cornwall on this event. Who are also helping us, in this worthy cause.
