Unfortunately this is only open to coaches - if any MBH coaches are interested please let Ian know (I’m only going cause I’m in the poster! and only one of the few times I’m in front of Doug!)

Sir Jimmy Saville OBE says: “Howsabout that then guys and gals - he’s in at number 1 with a bullet - it’s Mr Pete Le Grice with his new record “The Truro Half”…
Those too young to remember Thursday nights with Jimmy Saville and TOTP - count yourselves lucky, and take a look at the updated club standings anyway - new entries, non-movers, and those on their way out of the top 30… (*sob*)
Thanks again to Jo “Statto” Lawless for the PB updates.

ikoniNow updated to take account of some sterling performances from the mighty Bay at Indian Queens and the St Levan 10k. Check ‘em out, and the overall rankings too. As usual, let Ian know if there’s anything amiss with your times. Thanks again to Jo for the speedily rehashed stats.

On a real wet and foggy evening (August, you have got to be joking) Pete LeGrice absolutely annihilated the opposition at the annual St Levan 10K, Pete who won the race last year improved on his time this year winning in an impressive 32.15, his closest threat, Colin Snook, CAC, finished in well over a minute behind in 33.57, third place was Noel Kindon, CAC.
Pete actually took a bad fall coming into the finishing field grazing both knees but still managed to limp (must have been quite a fast limp!) over the finish line
Senior and Junior results can be found HERE
Mounts Bay Harriers were well represented in both junior and senior races with numerous Harriers attaining PBs.
Other age group winners were Immy Wood 1st under 11 girl, Ellie Ringwood 1st under 13 girl, Archie Vingoe 1st under 13 boy, Jacob Wood, 2nd overall in the junior race and 2nd under 15 boy, his brother Tom (aged 15) actually raced the full 10K in a fantastic time of 40.31 and for the seniors Rachel Tresidder 1st female under 35, Clive Hibbert 2nd male 65-69 - the mens team finished 2nd to CAC as for some reason this race only seems to take 4 per team?! the ladies had a 3rd.
One moan, now I know it was only £6 to enter and a village sports event, but it has been going a few years now, - what was that for winning the whole race?!?!? I know you have to buy the numbers, medals, pay the necessary authorities but come on organisers you need to put your hand in your pocket a bit deeper as that was very cheap first place trophy, It is the winning, I agree, but to have something a little more spectacular to perhaps put on the mantel piece or show the grand kids in years to come? sorry had to be said!
Well Done to all MBH.
Don’t forget we still need lots of marshals and helpers for Wednesdays DAN Cape Cornwall Caper 5K race - please contact Mark Omori if you can help out
Updated to include times from Launceston 10 and the Turkey Trot. Have a gander, and if you notice any mistakes, let me or Ian know and we’ll get it fixed. Thanks again to Jo for a speedy update of the figures.
