The Club Awards for 2007 were presented last evening at The Union Hotel. 59 members and guests were treated to a great tasting 3 course meal followed by the awards for 2007.

The winners this year were voted by all the members – thanks to all who voted and attended – Many thanks to all who brought along prizes for the fantastic raffle – which raised £118 towards The Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Thanks and a little something were also given to Yvonne, Geoff and Alan M. There were also novelty prizes for Sue, Jess, Janet, Chris, Ges, Nancy, Delia, Clive, Sam & Robert

Mounts Bay Harriers invite all runners for a bit of a festive social gathering for a couple of off road runs to blow away those Christmas Cobwebs.

The first on FRIDAY 28 DECEMBER is an approx 6 – 7 mile led by Janet C, a coastal run taking in Porthgwarra, Porthchapel and Porthcurnow – we will meet at the St Levan (Poljigga cricket / playing field) the 10K start at 10.30am – and have a great ‘little jog’ around some of the most breathtaking scenery in the West Country.

And for those who will need to run off a hangover…………NEW YEARS DAY – your first run of 2008?

Geoff L will be leading a challenging 5 mile off road run starting at The Tinners Arms carpark, Zennor and climbing over the moors to the top of the carn – meet at 11am – and perhaps followed by ‘hair of the dog’

Monday 17 December – MBH Mousehole / Newlyn Christmas Lights Run – invites to all other running clubs have gone out inviting them to join us for a Festive approx 6 mile sightseeing jog of this year’s illuminations, meet ready to run 7pm Yacht Inn Car park - fancy dress and sparkly / glittery / glowy lights a must – with mince pies, coffee and maybe something stronger afterwards in the Yacht Inn!

Friday 21 December – 7pm Children’s Christmas party and awards evening – Penzance Astro Park

Wednesday 26 December, Boxing day 10 mile TT, Penzance Wheelers, Leedstown 12 noon

Friday 28 December, Treen, Penberth, Porthcurno Coastal Run meet at 10.30am St Levan Playing fields for an off road social run with MBH

Tuesday 1 January – MBH Welcome to the New Year, Zennor Carn Social Run – meet at the Tinners Arms, Zennor 11am for an off road and over the carn social run with MBH (may partake in a hair of the dog afterwards?)
