Free activity day for the family & chance to meet Commonwealth Games athlete

If you are stuck for things to do this Saturday, 14 June 2008, why not head to Brannel School Sports Centre’s open day?

The day runs from 11am to 5pm with a special appearance from Brooke Graddon, a Commonweath Games platform diver who is currently British diving champion and is hoping to represent Britain at this year’s OLYMPIC GAMES – how cool is that?!

Brooke will be demonstrating her spins for us and holding coaching sessions for children and the family to join in to give an idea of her typical land-based training – so you don’t need your cossie, just comfy shoes!

Brooke will also be giving a talk about her life as a British athlete.

During the afternoon there are casual taster sessions for you to dip in and out of at your leisure so if you or a member of your family has ever fancied trying: aikido, trampolining, table tennis, badminton, short mat bowls, tennis or netball, this is the chance to have a go – sessions are completely free.
