24 of us made it up to Indian Queens and how many got PBs!? Nigel, Tammy, Phil, Mhairi, Andrew, Jason, Clive, John (there may be more but this is everyone that I asked?- Ian you’ve got a lot of updating to do!!)
The course was slightly changed from last year due to part of it being dug up and so, at around about mile 6, you saw the faster runners coming in the opposite direction.? Very demoralising for those of us at that?stage knowing that they were at mile 10 (or something like that).? ?The person in first place, Adrian Mussett from Colchester Harriers, was having to shout at everyone to get out of his way as we were all strewn across the path not realising that runners were going to be coming towards us.? He was well in the lead at that point followed by Kevin Toher, Jim Cole and Dave Buzza.? I saw Mike Robinson running well and then the runners were split again onto their own paths.
MBH had six members finish in under 1:30 which meant that we picked up the third men’s team prize.? Cornwall AC were first and Newquay RR second.
1:19:44 Mike Robinson
1:23:24 Nigel Sims
1:26:04 Phil Sanger
1:26:29 John Doyle
1:26:50 Jason Walker
1:28:35 Andrew Hickson
Four MBH juniors took part in the fun run, Charlotte and Megan Richards, Katie Walker and Bethany Tresidder.? It was Charlotte’s birthday and she managed a credible second place in her age group.
