The annual Christmas time trial took place on Thursday 20th December. The evening was chilly with a strong breeze blowing. The weather was good for running although a little slippery underfoot. The results evidenced the training achieved by the Thursday group as most posted a significant improvement in their 2006 time, demonstrating the benefits of mixing continuous running with a structured interval session. Hopefully this will encourage more members to join the group on Thursdays and understand that improvement will occur when quantity is replaced by quality. A big thank you must go to Delia for volunteering to time the runners.
I would also like to thank everyone for their support in putting up with the “easy” sessions throughout the year and here’s looking forward to further improvement in 2008 and further establish Mount’s Bay Harriers as the premier Triathlon / Athletic club in the South-West.
Merry Christmas and a Successful 2008
