ZENNOR NEW YEAR DAY RECCE BY GEOFF LETCHFORD AND MARK OMORI

Thought we would do this a couple of weeks before the real thing just to make sure the route is known to at least 2 of us!
Last year there were a few people heading off in strange directions.
Don last year did his best bless him , but it is a bit confusing with all the different  cross tracks up there.
So  this year I will lead, Mark O  will be tail end  Charlie and Don if he does it will be good to have in the middle.
All of us with radio comms etc
I did give Mark some historical facts on  the Logan Stone, Zennor Quoit and various  historical features up there!
Will test him later.
Our little run was ideal..5 milesof comparativley Winter dry muddy tracks.
Well, that means only 6 inches deep in water rather than a foot.
There is a particularly difficult 800 meter section of tight gorse. but HEY!
and after that its all just so easy hee hee.
Its all character building.[ I love that phrase ]
And providing its a Southwesterly wind its a piece off p*ss the last 2 miles
Trust me !!!
So come on. Jan 1st 2009, blow the cobwebs away. 11 am meet  at car park by pub at Zennor. Everyone welcome. All clubs.
See you there.
Geoff Letchford
