Mounts Bay Harriers junior section raised ?261.54 with donations still to come in through their Pyjama Olympic and Assault Course Circuits. All the Juniors did something ?Funny for Money? on the night of Red Nose Day and turned up for their usual Friday session all wearing their jimjams ? even the coachs entered into the spirit of the evening (with some seemingly to enjoy it more than others!)
The fantastic amount was achieved through the children asking for sponsorship for the number of circuits completed and the club donating all of the weeks subs to the appeal
With music pumping through the PA system the warm up was a little different this week with Sue doing a quick aerobics session. It was then onto the main event of the evening – circuits of the dome that included running, jumping over mats and hurdles, scrabbling through tunnels, bouncing over crash mats and generally having a good laugh whilst getting hot, sweaty but ultimately fitter.
After a brief stop for refreshment the juniors finished off a fun filled evening with an obstacle relay race in teams whereby the coachs were also involved in the competition
Poor Maddie had the best red nose of the night! But thanks to everyone for getting into the spirit of the day, the coachs for?helping out every week, the parents for all their help and support, but most of all the children who make it all worthwhile.
There are a few junior event entry forms now available on the website that some of juniors may wish to enter ? Fun runs that include Boconnoc, Sticker, Indian Queens and also the Saltash Aquathlon, our very own MBH Junior Aquathlon held at Penzance Leisure Centre this year will take place on Sunday 10th July entry form available shortly.
