Our first Mounts Bay Harriers Triathlon, as you all know, to be held on Easter Sunday, 8th April, is set to go – the final deliveries of trophies, medals, shirts, numbers, water, barriers etc have all gone smoothly (tongue in cheek comment) – Over 100 entries have been received from all around the country (the event is over full) from all ages and from differing standards and have all been sent race packs (by good ‘ol Yvonne) containing vital BTA rules, route maps and instructions for a successful and safe day.

Registration opens on Sunday morning 7.00am with the first swimmers due to set off at 8 – with over 50 marshals who have offered their services, I hope it will be one of the safest and well organised triathlons in the area, and a great introduction to triathlon for competitors and marshals alike – a big thanks from MBH to those who have offered to give up their Easter Sunday morning (you will all be rewarded with one of the best quality and brilliantly put together T shirts ever)- there will be a marshals meeting on the day at 7.30am at the Leisure Centre – please attend

Yvonne, has worked her socks off to try and ensure smooth running – please do not let her and the club down by failing to turn up if you have volunteered to help.

Food and refreshments will be available at either the Astro Park or Leisure Centre, pre & post race massage will also be available at the centre, Line Break performance sportswear and Whirlwind Sports will also have stands inside the leisure centre.

Richard from Kazam media will be on hand to provide competitors with the opportunity to purchase photographic evidence that athletes competed in the very first MBH Traithlon.

The Mayor will coming along to present the awards to winners and ‘other categories’ at about 12 noon

Lets pray for good weather, a light breeze and a safe and successful event for all.

Special thanks need to go to our many sponsors who have provided either services, donations of either cash or goods, or use of their facilities.
