New Forest 100 Sportive, Cream Tea Caper – Jolly Running & Truro Half Marathon

New Forest 100 Sportive:
On Saturday the 14th of September this cycling sportive covering 100 miles took place. Two Mounts Bay Harriers attended this event, Mickey Ringwood finishing in 6:20:22.20 achieving a gold medal time & John Gorton finishing in 8:55:17.50 achieving a Bronze medal time. Mickey has stated The New Forest is quite stunning.
Cream Tea Caper – Jolly Running:
The Cream Tea Caper in Exeter, organised by Jolly Running took place on Saturday the 14th of September. This event saw competitor’s be given 8 hours in which to see how many laps of a 3.3 mile circuit they could run. One Mounts bay Harrier Jenny Orpwood travelled up to Exeter to take this challenge on & completed two laps of the course, to achieve a 6.6 run on the day.
Truro Half Marathon:
On the 15th of September this event was held. As usual the Truro Half Marathon course is a tough 13.10 mile run. 8 Mounts Bay Harriers attended this event. For Marie Ann Cann this was her first time tackling a Half Marathon. Tim Twiggs was 1st to finish for the club.
