November racing all over the UK

Lize Whybrow made the long journey to Newcastle for the Newcastle Town Moor Half Marathon. This 3 1/2 lap event took runners through the historic Exhibition Park & the Town Moor. Despite an incident at mile 12, Liz finished under 3 hours & thoroughly enjoyed the event.
David Andrewartha raced the DB Max Castle Combe ‘Chilly 10k’. He was delighted with a top 50 finish from 1000 entrants. David commented that he is starting to have a thing for car circuit races!
In Windsor, Julie Bolitho completed the Windsor and Eton half in chip time of 2 hours 46 minutes and 38 seconds . Julie said this wasn’t great but she was pleased with this time over the flat but tarmac course.
Closer to home, a number of Harriers raced the Penrose Woods 10k in dry if rather windy conditions. Mark Worledge was the first Harrier back. Sue Coates was pleased to finish the event as she was still recovering from knee problems.
Finally on Friday 16th November, the Junior club held a fun night to raise funds for children In Need. They raised an excellent £208 for this good cause.
