A men’s cancer charity is launching a sponsored swim in west Cornwall for the first time.
The Chestnut Appeal for Prostate Cancer is asking volunteers to help raise funds by swimming a mile around St Michael’s Mount.
The swim can be challenging and the charity is advising that anyone who takes part should have some experience of swimming in open water.
Event water safety staff will be on hand to provide all the necessary craft and expert cover for the swim.
The event will take place on Saturday July 19.
Registration for the swim is £30 which covers the cost of organising the event.
Entry to the St Michael’s Swim includes; a medal on completion, full water safety support from Event Water Safety, a swim cap, water and an end of swim snack.
