Mounts Bay Harriers had competitors in various races this weekend.
In Launceston Half Marathon there were six Harriers, Nigel Sims 1:31:19, Richard Savage 1:33:14, Rachel Tresidder 1:37:13 (also picked up a prize for 2nd female under 35), Sam Perkin 1:51:33, Phil McNevin 1:57:14 and Yvonne Watkins 2:18.29. (Results HERE)
At Mylor Triathlon, 750m open water swim, 12 mile bike and a 4 mile run, Mark Worledge and Mhairi Saville were the only representatives for MBH. Mark was 25th overall and Mhairi 4th female.
The Bovey Tracey 750th Anniversary Charter Half Marathon took place in very warm and sunny conditions. Yvonne Turner and Graham Storer took part for the club. They were each awarded with a special enamel-made medal and printed t-shirt. The strange thing about this event was that there were no women between the ages of 50-59 taking part so the trophies had to be put away.
In Ireland, Kyle Kearey took part in the Athlone Triathlon, a 1500 metre swim, 40k bike and 10k run. He completed it in 2:07:53. (Results HERE)
And Don Hutchison, the mad Scotsman, decided to cycle the Edge to Edge within 77 hours. The route goes from Lowestoft Ness in Suffolk and Ardnamurchan Point in the West Highlands and are the Easternmost and Westernmost Cardinal Points in mainland Britain. A distance of just over 1,000km
There was also the Redruth Mini Triathlon for children but I don’t have the results yet and so will post this separately when I do.
