The appeal of the event is obvious. Teams of two or solos set off from the towering sea cliffs at Foreland Point in the north, bound for the jagged shoreline of Prawle Point on the south coast. The linear journey takes in the wild and open expanses of Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks, and includes challenging road and mountain bike sections, testing mixed terrain running legs and a fabulous kayaking stage on the incomparable Dart estuary before the final nineteen mile trail run to the finish, along the notoriously challenging South West Coast Path.
The Devon Coast 2 Coast is a big challenge, not just because of the 130 mile course and the average finishing time of nineteen hours, but due to the nature of the terrain and the changeable weather conditions common on the higher ground and on the coasts. This event offers a unique opportunity to propel yourself across this famously beautiful part of Britain and whether you are a tri-athlete, adventure racer or weekend warrior, you will, like hundreds before you, relish in the challenge that the Devon C2C throws down.
If you believe life’s about the journey, the DC2C is for you. Book this one early as it sells out quickly.
