Trail running for The Harriers over Bank Holiday weekend

The bank holiday weekend saw a number of Harriers take part in trail races in locally & further afield.
On the Friday evening, 6 Harriers raced the Freedom Racing Godolphin 10k. This race started at Godolphin House and took the runners over the moor and up to Tregonning Hill. A hilly multi terrain course which was challenging in spite of the distance. The weather stayed dry for the race giving good running conditions. Mark Worledge was the first Harrier back in a time of 43.42, 16th overall. The organisation & scenic route was voted a big success by the runners.
On the Sunday, Julie Bolitho travelled to Devon for the Clear Brook marathon – 26.2 miles over Dartmoor. The weather was not kind for this event and Julie commented that she was soaked & glad to finish by the end. Her time was 6.35.51.
Mounts Bay Harriers meet on Monday evenings at Mounts Bay Academy. We offer a range of training for runners & triathletes of all abilities. Please see our website for further details-
