Mounts Bay Harriers team of 22 athletes braved the downpours on Sunday 3rd September to complete the popular Treggy 7 road race which circles Launceston with a few undulations and a sprint into the castle to finish. Racers described rivers of water flowing over their feet on the route but they all seemed to enjoy it. The first Mounts Bay Harrier home was John Mc Williams in 7th in a swift time of 41.56 .Geoff Letchford was the second Harrier in and claimed first place in the 65-69 category in 49.44 minutes showng he can go a bit further than his favoured five k. Ruth Glover was first female Harrier home as she prepares for her Half Ironman later this month. The next event in the race calendar is the Truro Half Marathon always popular in the calendar.
