On Friday the 15th August Falmouth Firestation are holding “The Trident Challenge” an 800 metre swim off Gyllyngvase beach Falmouth. The price is £5.00 and all proceeds are going towards the Firefighters charity and Cancer research.
This will be the Third year that the challenge has run inviting a competitive and fun field for the sea swim around three buoys and back to the beach.
Race starts at 1900 with registration from 1700 each entrant gets free entrance into the nearly famous raffle with many mystery prizes good and bad!
Also afterwards a BBQ is to be held at the Gyllyngvase beach café. For those who feel the swim is not enough a 70s night is taking place at the Falmouth week tent (get a Ticket they sell out quite quickly) down on the events square.
Obviously there are trophies for the podium hero’s plus the ultimate overall winner’s trophy which may require strengthening of the mantle piece!
