Truro half marathon Sunday 17th September

Sunday 17th September dawned warmer and sunnier than expected after the previous nights rain & the Harriers had a large contingent who traveled to Truro to take on the hilly half marathon. This half marathon takes runners around the lanes of Feock and the edge of Truro and is known for the number of hills fitted into the 13.1 miles.
John McWilliams was the first Harrier back and fifth overall in 1.23.12. Gary Richards was second in 1.31.35 closely followed by Stuart Thomson in 1.33.08. The First Lady back was Kelsey Lynch in 2.02.15.
Sue Taylor was pleased with her finishing time and enjoyed the event more than last year. Paul Angove had a strong finish after struggling with the heat in the middle section of the race.
All the Harriers finished & all agreed it was a good event but very hilly and made harder by the warm weather.
