Vivs Revenge 2009

17 Harriers lined up in freezing conditions to contest this years 5 mile TT. It was wet, cold and really miserable if I’m honest, so big respect to those who ran.
Ronnie (current record holder set in 2006) Viv and myself helped with the timing 3 -2- 1 and off they sped down the road, Sam taking a the lead (a 5.15 mile according to the Garmin)
It didn’t seem long before Ronnie, who had gone to the end of the road shouted that the first finisher was in sight – it was Sam Hill, really running well at the moment, finishing in a new record time of 24.42, over 3 minutes faster than his last years time, closely followed by Mike Robinson, who is also fastly improving also broke Ronnies record.
6 members who had run the course in previous years also had a PB and of course a number of new members will now have to wait until next year to guage improvement.
As a bonus, Sam, who we have said is running particularily well at present I believe has also been selected to run in the National Cross Country Champs in Birmingham, so further congratulations to him.
