We’re Back!!

WE’RE COMING BACK! MONDAY SOCIAL DISTANCING AWAY RUNS – PLEASE READ – IF YOU HAVE ANY QUERIES PLEASE COMMENT OR PM IAN

We are starting back, slowly to normality – as usual, every year we stage our ‘away runs’ – Mounts Bay Academy is still closed, so we cannot meet inside

The idea is we will meet on a Monday, ready to run at 7pm, at differing places in the area, groups of no more than 6 will run together, fastest runners will set off first and the majority of the routes are circular and NOT out and back to limit contact with other runners!

we start with a short distance as some members haven’t done a lot but others have really ramped up the training, so there will usually be an option of 2 ‘laps’ if you want

so here’s the info;

Monday 13 July – Meet outside Mounts Bay School, for a short run (2.4 miles) Run towards Trengwainton but take the stile over the fields down to the YHA, come out by Polgoon, 100m up the bypass and take the path on your left back to Boscathno and the school

Monday 20 July – Lands End, (4k) meet in the carpark, start and finish at the signpost, out on cyclepath, back on coastpath

Monday 27 July – meet at Marazion Folly Field carpark for a beach run (4 miles)

Monday 3 Aug – Meet at Botallack Count House National Trust carpark – run to Cape and back 5k (optional pub after?)

Monday 10 Aug – Meet at Gurnards Head pub for Geoffs NYD run course 5 miles (optional pub after?)

Monday 17 Aug – meet at Godolphin House National trust carpark for a lap of the Godolphin Trust 10K route (optional 1 lap 5K, 2 lap 10K)

Monday 24 Aug – Meet at Carn Brea Leisure centre for a coached track session (TBC)

Monday 31 August – meet at the school for a Trevaylor Woods run – 5K

Monday 7 September – Meet at Penrose parkrun carpark, parkrun 5K course

We appreciate some members will have concerns and worries, and that’s fine, you need to do what’s best for you at this crazy time, but Sue and I are really looking forward to seeing you all hopefully soon and hope you’ll join us
