Wildlife Run:

Sunday 1st December saw runners take part in the annual Race for Wildlife that raises money for Cornwall Wildlife Trust, the day was cold and sunny for the 7.5 Multi terrain race that is part road and trail. The course had parts that was ankle deep in mud and rivers to run through. Plus an unexpected group of calves that had escaped for bit before being herded back in by runs. All runs received soft cup as a momento of the race and Marshals issued with a pasty which had been very kindly donated by Warrens Bakery.
After the event lots of runners and supporters took advantage of the refreshment Stand that had tea and coffee donated by Cornish Coffee and delicious baked goods made by Mounts Bay Harriers, friends and staff from Penwith Landscape partnership and the Trust. With all proceeds going to the Cornwall Wildlife Pete Warman from Cornwall Wildlife Trust, thanked everyone who contributed to the event, which included the 80 marshals along the route. He helped to hand out trophies to all the winners. An update on how much was raised will follow shortly.
