Apologies for the delay. To process 375 times and swim numbers (including Bilbo’s) has not been easy and very time consuming. Many thanks to Dawn Blackler for all her hard work while on Holiday!
When the masses piled ashore it was very difficult to get accurate timings I’m afraid and it didn’t help when swimmers pushed in after crossing the line, so there will be some mistakes. If anyone feels that there is an error that they can’t live with please contact me on 01736 360144 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Unfortunately data for 2 swimmers didnt get recorded, 256 Jack Perry and 260 Harley Lane. If they have any idea who was in front or behind them at the finish please let me know and we can slip them in and revise the results list accordingly. Please accept my apologies.
Neil Eddy’s winning time of 15mins 24secs is a new record, beating the previous time of 15.32 set by Ben May in 2006.
Money is still coming in so at the moment I can’t provide the amount that the swim raised for MacMillan Cancer Relief, however I’m sure it will be in excess of ?1000. I will let you all know shortly.
Many thanks to the Yacht Inn and all sponsors, RNLI, Penzance Canoe Club, boat owners, volenteers, and the swimmers!!!
